Isn't this cute?
I went outside to feed the rabbits and as I came back in the door I noticed there was a ringtail possum drinking from the cat's bowl - and it didn't race off even though I was really close to it. So I went and got my camera and it was still there, although the flash did prompt it to climb back up a nearby tree. The photo isn't perfect but at least you get to see what we often see here at our home.

As someone who lives in the country and keeps some rabbits and chickens, I'm used to seeing wildlife doing funny and cute things...but mostly the Disney-esque sort of wildlife (deer, chipmunks, birds). This was a treat! What a great picture...and yes, it is cute! Thank you for sharing it.

I love the way possums have adjusted to suburbia. I remember leaping out of my skin one night while staying at a friend's in Busselton, W.A. A possum or two had decided to raid the metal rubbish bin and knocked a whole lot of stuff over in the process!
