Melbourne International Garden & Flower Show cont.

After seeing the vegetable patch display at the show last weekend I'm fired up more than ever to start my vege patch. I'm really glad I've seen this - I was going to do the traditional furrow style garden but now I have other ideas and can't wait!

And of course this below is simply just a display, but it was colourful anway. My daughter liked the jelly snakes included!

I read over at cornerstone that the people of Melbourne need rain - spiritually and practically

wanted to encourage you to press in and pray

we had a wonderful prayer meeting - it ended with our pastor lying on the floor in front of the altar - under a red umbrella

and God poured out his spirit on us - though Finland is still crying out for nationwide revival.

ps loved the vegetable garden idea.

Lovely to see you here Lorna. Yes, that is right, Melbourne is badly in need of rain both spiritually and practically.

Our Christian radio station, LightFM, has been calling on Melbourne to pray for rain - we've had a smattering of rain over the past 3 or so weeks but still a long way off. Our dams are very low and we're on high water restrictions.

The recent garden show demonstrated how to drought proof our gardens and showed plants that needed only small amounts of watering - very practical ideas.
